Forte Chicago
Susan served as the founding artistic director of Forte Chicago and forged the core devising ensemble of female-identified opera singers. Forte Chicago sold out shows with their unique blend of vocal fireworks and visceral vaudeville and was invited to perform in festivals and venues all over the Chicagoland area. Whether it was at a Lyric Opera Outreach program or in the basement of a bar the artists of Forte Chicago provided a new lens with which to enjoy a classic form.
